Maratone – Infinity

Maratone - Infinity

Maratone – Infinity

The Recoverworld Label Group has been a great resource of material to feature on this site. The output from the various facets of the Discover family has popped up in numerous posts, but it’s not the only ace up the UK collective’s sleeve. Today, we take a peek at the latest from Manuel Le Saux’s Extrema Global Music imprint.

Gearing up for his second appearance on Extrema (following last year’s collab with Ikerya Project) is Danish DJ & Producer Mads Rasmussen, better known as Maratone. Eager to demonstrate his own abilities, Mads goes for a solo debut on the imprint.

A strong acid component in an uplifter has always made for a great listen over the years, and Infinity is no different. It’s a story of strong contrasts, as the fierce intro melts without effort into the airy breakdown. Soft piano melodies complement the lush vocals and make for a tremendous backdrop against which the lead can shine. Mere moments after the words “let’s travel to infinity” are uttered, Mads unveils the spine tingling main riff of his latest opus. Suffice to say, there will be goose bumps aplenty.

Eager to get it? You’ll have to wait a tiny bit longer, as Infinity hits Beatport on April 25th, followed on May 9th by all other stores. In the meantime, why not have a listen to the sample below? While you’re at it, maybe play some Maraphobia episodes, which Maratone is the host of. 🙂
