We once again take a peek at an upcoming Digital Society Recordings release, this time from Ukranian producer UDM. A closer inspection shall follow below, as always.
I was first introduced to one of Dmitry Uskov’s tracks via his rework of Half Way Home, released about three years ago under Unearthed. I really enjoyed what he’d done with the track, so I decided to add him to my watch list. A year later, his Silent Shore release of Saturation got me interested to the point at which I decided to share it with you guys. Now, Follow The Sun popped up on my radar so I eagerly gave it a listen, considering how good the previous material had been.
In many ways, it’s surprising, given that a track awash with 2010-era uplifting vibes isn’t the ‘flavour of the moment’, but I’m not one to complain. The short breaks-like sequence near the beginning of the break was a nice addition, one that works well within the constraints of the arrangement. The rest of Follow The Sun stands as proof of UDM‘s mastery of the melodic side, with its Summer influenced vibes that will sure enough brighten up your day. Properly good stuff.
UDM‘s Follow The Sun hits Beatport this Monday, August 31st. Two weeks after, you’ll be able to pick it up from the other digital download stores. Until these dates roll around, enjoy the sample below. 🙂
