The ReWind series exists as merely an aid in the discovery (or rather, rediscovery) of the unintentionally forgotten, or the often overlooked tracks of yesteryear.
Some of you might remember that about a year ago, ReWind got its first proper feature of an Astral Projection original with The Nexus, a production included on the duo’s 2002 Amen artist album. As luck would have it (or whatever you want to call this), we’re revisiting said album, only moving up on the tracklist.
Chaos is only second in order to the title track, but its inclusion near the beginning of this long player in no way hints at the tremendous energy oozing from the speakers as you start playing this. Avi and Lior keep the pedal to the metal right off the bat, with Chaos flying well past the 140 BPM mark (not that it’s an important statistic, but some might take it into consideration).
The second of silence halfway through might seem a bit weird to some, but it helps make the base stand out even more, which I do enjoy. Goa fans will undoubtedly have a lot of fun listening to this (as did I), a track which sits within the same back catalogue with the tracks that made Astral Projection the legendary name they are today.
Let’s start some Chaos, shall we? See you next week. 🙂
