The ReWind series exists as merely an aid in the discovery (or rather, rediscovery) of the unintentionally forgotten, or the often overlooked tracks of yesteryear.
As few and far between as they are, the vocal recommendations do exist and this week’s classic feature is precisely one of them. Let’s take a closer look.
Released in 2002 under various labels (from Belgium’s Freestyle Records, to Canada’s BMG Music), Reason was one of the later singles from Belgian duo Christophe Steve Fotini Chantzis and Erik Jos Vanspauwen, better known as Ian van Dahl. The two teamed up with Martine Theeuwen for their debut and most well known of singles, Castles In The Sky. From that point forward though, they enlisted the help of Annemie Coenen for vocals on Will I? and Reason, to name just two.
Obvious as can be, I have once again opted for a remix, not because the original isn’t a great track on its own, but because I simply couldn’t stop listening to the Lange Remix. I’m not sure if it’s that bouncy euro-trance sound of the early 2000s or just the way it builds that has really gotten me hooked. Either way, fantastic slab of trance and with a nice set of vocals too.
Check it out below and see you next week. 🙂
