If a new single release from Sonic Element is something you’d like, then this’ll be right up your street. Let’s take a closer look at his upcoming single on Transistic Groove.
Folks familiar with Fotis’ Borderline releases from last year (Crossroads and Tracing Paths) will immediately take to the sound of his newest original, Vulnerable. Nice and punchy kicks, a well defined baseline and a superb melodic riff power up this absolute gem of a track. Vocal chops aplenty and the goosebump-inducing piano in the break, coupled with the really well balanced sounds make this an absolute must-hear for fans of trance’s uplifting side.
For all the talk about trance being dead or dying or being wounded or whatever, there’s plenty of great stuff to find if you know where to look. I feel like Vulnerable strikes the right balance between the clean, modern vibe and the pure, if nostalgic sound of old. It’s not too loud, it’s not too cluttered, it’s precisely the way it needs to be. It’s so good in fact, this’ll probably go quite high up on my list of top tracks at the end of the year. That’s a discussion for another time, though.
Say you’d want to grab this and might be wondering where you can get it. It’s very simple: on May 4th, pick it up exclusively from Beatport. Two weeks later, on the 18th, pick it up from any of the other digital download stores, if you so desire. Until then, check out the sample below. 🙂
