You’ve listened to progressive trance yesterday, and are about to do so again today, as we take a look at the latest EP from UK producer David Hearn aka Blufeld, released under legendary Belgian imprint Bonzai Progressive.
A World Less Ordinary is an exploration of the relaxing side of trance, with its expansive break and thoroughly addictive base rhythms that create a dark and mysterious atmosphere. Beyond any genre constraints and rigid categorisations, the track just oozes of quality and is one of the nicest progressive tracks I’ve heard in quite a while. It was a track I immediately took to, something that happens on such rare occasions these days. A proper progressive outing in a scene obsessed with loudness wars and dry structures is not only something refreshing, but something to cherish.
Sure, the EP has three more remixes (which are great on their own), but I felt it was right to focus on the original for this feature.
