The ReWind series exists as merely an aid in the discovery (or rather, rediscovery) of the unintentionally forgotten, or the often overlooked tracks of yesteryear.
This week, we’re turning back the clock to 2003, for one of Kenni Andruszkow Poulsen’s best known productions. But first, a little back story.
He began producing in 1998 under the DJ Morph moniker, a year later uploading his first track ‘Sad Story’ to a forum. The members were very appreciative of his work, ranking it as number 1 for about a fortnight. To everybody’s surprise, a slightly modified version of his track was used in a 2001 preview of Big Brother Denmark, which in turn landed him a considerable amount of contacts from Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands. From that point on, he changed his handle into Unknown Source.
What you’ll listen to below is the original club mix of Nadjanema, the A side of his 2003 Afterglow Records release. Since this very track is getting a brand new rework from Glynn Alan the following week, I thought it was appropriate to look back at this stunning example of early 2000s trance. Epic, energetic and very melodic, here’s Nadjanema:
Country: Germany / Style: Trance / Year: 2003 / Label: Afterglow Records
