I’ve been following TesseracT Studio since the release of Orison‘s Halo Moon, but haven’t really featured a lot of what they’ve had to offer. Well, the selfishness ends now, as I’m sharing their latest release with you folks. Why? Find out below.
Psy trance is an interesting thing to recommend to other people because it’s often times the quirkiness of it that puts many off. Unlike its more public friendly siblings of the trance spectrum, psy is all about non-linearity and the relentlessly organic nature of sound. A great example of this organic nature of psy is Serbian producer Sonic Entity‘s Altered Fiction album.
I’m one of those weird people who enjoys a track from start to finish, because I approach it like a story. This album has been, at least in my view, like a great novel, starting with The Signal and going through a mesmerizing tunnel of sound comprised of New Type Of Thinking, Stellar, Akasha Field and many others. Heck, there’s even a Lyctum collab in there!
An album can be good overall, but if you don’t end it on a high note (not literally, of course) it leaves a dubious aftertaste. That is not the case here, as Terraform is by far and away my favourite production off this long player. I’m stil going to enjoy this long after the album is taken off the shelves. What can I say, I’m a big fan of properly done psy.
I hope you folks have gotten the gist of it: I like Altered Fiction and if you enjoy it as well, support the artist. Have a peek at what’s included, via the playlist below:
