John Askew‘s debut single for Perfecto Fluoro is anything but the fluffy, soft thing the title suggests it is. Packed to the brim with high-energy kicks and melodies, supplemented by crazy moans and explosive acids, this one’s definitely going to turn some heads. The breakdown is all chilled and nice, accented by the odd moan here and there, but as soon as the build starts, this thing goes off like a bomb. I believe John has the best description for it:
It sounds the same as all my other shit, but this time it has the added bonus of people having sex all the way through it.
I’ll admit, I didn’t take to it right away. With time though, I found this one delightfully crazy and a definite strong contender for the title of ‘track of the year’. You might not like John’s style, but there’s one thing even you can’t deny: this track is as unique as they get.
