Solarstone & Orkidea – Slowmotion III

Solarstone & Orkidea - Slowmotion III

Solarstone & Orkidea – Slowmotion III

Slowmotion reaches its 3rd installment and, I might argue, the best one yet.

Each of the Slowmotion releases coincided with the beginning of a new project for either Orkidea or Solarstone. Number 3 is about to get released this coming Monday, followed next week by the third compilation in Solarstone‘s Electronic Architecture series. Enough about that though, let’s see what the track has to offer.

Similarly to its predecessors, Slowmotion III has an infectiously groovy progressive vibe, enhanced by the carefully placed retro-game and vocal accents. Overall, it’s a funky, upbeat progressive track with a melody that will surely get stuck in your head for weeks to come. I’d be a fool not to mention that base line which really takes the track to a whole new level. An absolute delight to have Slowmotion III stuck on repeat.

For the curious folks among the readers, alongside the original, the EP includes a Solarstone remix and a 13 minute (!) Orkidea remix. This thing just keeps getting better and better, doesn’t it? 😀

You’re probably reading this and thinking: That’s not possible, this guy’s can’t be serious. Well then, you are more than welcome to check it out for yourself down below. It’ll get released as a 2 week Beatport exclusive on June 30th.

Out on Beatport: June 30th.

Country: The Netherlands / Style: Progressive Trance / Year: 2014 / Label: Black Hole Recordings
