The ReWind series exists as merely an aid in the discovery (or rather, rediscovery) of the unintentionally forgotten, or the often overlooked tracks of yesteryear.
If you looked at the last 4 ReWind posts and thought to yourself “Where’s the acid gone?”, rejoice, for the answer is inbound.
I’ve said time and time again that I’m a big fan of the 303 sound, and ReWind allows me to feature some of my favourite tracks that make use of Roland’s synthesizer.
Once again, I’ve gone straight for a Geezer production, this time a collaboration with Severio Alagna, aka Berio 303. Acid Keul is included on the A side of The Saveloy EP and ticks all the right boxes : a prominent acid base, powerful kicks and a relentless pace that’ll make you charge up and down the hallway minutes after the track’s over.
You might not be a fan of acid, but you won’t know until you listen. Here, check out this sample :
Country : UK / Style : Acid Techno / Year : 2003 / Label : WahWah*
