The ReWind series exists as merely an aid in the discovery (or rather, rediscovery) of the unintentionally forgotten, or the often overlooked tracks of yesteryear.
For week 6 of the series, taking the spotlight is none other than prolific producer duo Three Drives.
The joint effort of Dutchmen Erik De Koning and Ton Van Empel (aka DJ Ton T.B.), Three Drives scored a number of club anthems, most famously their 1997 hit Greece 2000. It would be three years before another of their tracks would reach a similar level of approval from the club masses. That track, now considered a true classic, was Sunset On Ibiza.
But we’re here to bring to the fore some of the more obscure, lesser known productions.
Still sporting the groovy signature base line, along with the crisp percussion rhythms and epic melodic sequences, here’s their 2009 Massive Drive release, entitled simply Automatic City :
Country : The Netherlands / Style : Trance / Year : 2009 / Label : Massive Drive Recordings*
