Over time, many tracks have kept trance fans partying ’till the light of day, tracks that have since become widely accepted classics of the genre. One such classic comes from short lived duo Veracocha.
A collaboration between Dutch trance legends Ferry Corsten and Vincent De Moor, the name of the duo was reportedly inspired by the Incan god Viracocha, which was regularly featured on a TV programme that Ferry Corsten was watching.
The only production released under this alias was Carte Blanche, which landed at number 110 in Positiva‘s back catalogue. It also managed the very impressive performance of taking the 22nd spot (out of 200) in the 1999 UK Singles Chart. Since then it has been remixed, reworked, re-released, and pretty much re-everything. Nevertheless, the original still, in my opinion, outshines all its subsequent variations.
