As I’ve said yesterday, August 5th kicks off the ‘Classic Trance Week’ here on Vând Sunete.
While I’m on vacation, you’ll receive a recommendation each day, for the next 7 days. Focusing on the classics and classic sounding trance productions, this is my attempt to highlight some of the tracks you might not have known about, but which are, no doubt, quality pieces of musical history.
First up is the stunning original mix of Paraglide, by Oliver Lieb, under his Paragliders moniker.
Dark and moody, the track appears to slowly come to life, with the intro part being only interrupted by a somewhat interesting vocal sample. It then continues unfolding until in reaches the breakdown, where the melody immediately grabs your attention and creates an almost sci-fi atmosphere.
The EP is dedicated to influential German producer Torsten Fenslau who lost his life in a car accident.
